How it works

Handover to move-in, in three to five days.

Renovation dust does not leave on its own. This is the sequence we run on every post-renovation job, and it is why the window is a window and not a single day.

  1. Day 1

    Clear and knock down

    Debris and packaging out first, then the whole space is worked from the ceiling downwards — light fittings, tops of cabinets, ledges, curtain rails. Dust that is disturbed high up will land on anything cleaned before it, which is why nothing at floor level is finished on the first day.

  2. Day 2

    Residue and detail

    Cement skim, grout haze, paint spots, silicone smears and adhesive come off surface by surface. Window tracks, runners, hinges and switch plates are done by hand. This is the slowest part of the job and the part that separates a specialist clean from a general one.

  3. Day 3–5

    Settle, re-clean, check

    Fine dust keeps falling for a day or two after the heavy work, so surfaces are gone over again rather than declared finished. The property is then checked by the quality control team before the keys go back — that check is what the handover window is for.

Kean Can Cleaning Service is run by Chu Wai Kean with his daughter Chloey. It is a specialist cleaning contractor rather than a maid agency — the work is post-renovation, restoration, high-access and commercial, and it is the kind of job people call about once the general cleaners have already been.
